This course covers biotechnology's fundamental principles, nucleic acid manipulation techniques, and instrumentation. It focuses on biotechnology's role in identifying and combating diseases, including the detection of viral infections like COVID-19. Ethical considerations and privacy concerns associated with biotechnology, such as gene therapy, vaccine distribution, and genetic testing, will also be explored.
