The days you invest in attending a summer school can be life changing. Is this an overstatement?
We don’t think so. The learning and experience you gain through this intensive and exciting time helps you grow in so many ways. It can also give you:
An advantage in university applications.
New friends you may stay in touch with for life.
Fresh insights into your own ambitions and desires.
A broader perspective on new subjects and cultures.
All of these will be influenced by your choice of summer school course. If you’re unsure which might be best for you, ask us by email. Send us your questions and we’ll get back to you.
Study a subject close to your heart
With so many summer school subjects on offer, how do you decide what’s best for you? A great place to start is to go with what excites you.
You love designing and building? You might be selecting a course based on engineering.
You’re excited to work with words and communication? Try an English or media course.
Fascinated by the workings of the human body? Medicine might be the right choice for you.
It’s easier to engage your enthusiasm when you select a course where the title and description excite you. It can help you decide whether you want to shape your career around that passion.
Select a location you want to explore
A summer school is a great way to visit an unfamiliar country or city. Immerse yourself in a new place, see new sights and experience a different culture.
Choose between universities in a number of prestigious locations around the world. Each one offers unique places to explore, a different mix of people, and a chance to enjoy different types of campus.
You may want to stay in your own country, or travel to another part of the world. Wherever you decide to go, the hosting provider will be working hard to ensure you learn as much as possible - not just about the subject you study, but about the city you’re in.

Consider your future as you make your choice
A huge benefit of attending a summer school course is that you’re better equipped to make career decisions. If you already know what direction you want to take your career in, your summer school choice can help confirm it or encourage a rethink. If you’re less sure, your experience during the course can help you to make a decision.
Your choice of summer school subject will help you to decide what university degree you want to aim for. It could also help determine which universities you apply to.
There’s no doubt it will contribute to your university application, because summer school attendance demonstrates an extra layer of commitment to your future.
