Join the Politics Summer School in Oxford for in depth learning about modern political theory and practice. This course for 16-17 year olds, run by Oxford Summer Schools, explores freedom, liberty, equality, the international landscape, and current affairs to give a comprehensive view of global issues. Challenge the status quo by questioning authority and the legal system while forming rational, evidence-backed opinions. Understand fairness, equality, and justice in today’s political debates.

Your tutors will encourage you to set ambitious goals, to actively engage in Q&A sessions, and to participate in a critical thinking masterclass. You’ll discover future career pathways by listening to expert speakers. Experience the Oxford tutorial system and visit different colleges for an immersive experience.

Learn through tutorial-style teaching in small groups, guided by expert tutors. Complete independent work and receive personalized feedback. The course includes fun extracurricular activities and the opportunity to visit a university fair. When you graduate, you'll receive a certificate and recommendation letter.

Oxford Summer Courses was established in 2010 by two Oxford University alumni, Harry Hortyn and Robert Phipps. Offering a diverse range of over 40 subjects tailored for ages 9 to 24, their summer courses are hosted at prestigious university colleges and boarding schools in iconic cities including Oxford, Cambridge, London, and more. In 2023 alone, over 2,380 students experienced Oxford Summer Courses.
