This course examines various cultural practices that seem to contradict human nature. For instance, why do people worldwide use chili peppers in their cooking despite humans' aversion to spiciness? Similarly, why can some populations consume milk into adulthood, while others experience lactose intolerance? Finally, why are individuals from certain nations more self-centered than those from others?
1. Most buildings have suites, typically featuring a common room, two to four bedrooms, and a shared bathroom.
2. Other buildings have rooms off a hallway with a shared bathroom.
3. Proctors reside in most entryways and hallways of the Yard and Union dorms, and the Houses; their foremost responsibility being the safety and well-being of their students.
