International Relations And Politics
Course Details
Our International Relations and Politics course covers different political theories, how countries are governed, and the causes of conflict. We'll also examine current topics like media influence on voting and resource sharing, providing a challenging and contextual perspective on our society and governance.
Accomodation
1. Accommodation will consist of single or twin rooms in a college setting
2. The accommodation is located within a mile of the city centre
3. Some locations may have ensuite rooms available
Tuition
1. Learning in small groups (usually no more than 15 students) provides quality time with the teacher and encourages questions.
2. Interactive learning is used to guide students through new concepts, with practice tasks assigned to build knowledge and skills.
3. Group work, independent research, and homework assignments are also included.
Extracurricular Activities:
1. In addition to academic study, students are encouraged to engage in social activities and explore the city.
2. Socializing with like-minded peers and participating in practical field trips are key components of the program.
3. The program offers a rich social calendar, including traditional guided tours of University museums and relaxing punting trips on the River Cam.
Oxford Summer Courses was established in 2010 by two Oxford University alumni, Harry Hortyn and Robert Phipps. Offering a diverse range of over 40 subjects tailored for ages 9 to 24, their summer courses are hosted at prestigious university colleges and boarding schools in iconic cities including Oxford, Cambridge, London, and more. In 2023 alone, over 2,380 students experienced Oxford Summer Courses.
