Medicine
Course Details
This course covers studying medicine in the UK and career options, as well as taster lectures and practical sessions on clinically applied anatomy and physiology, clinical medicine and diagnoses, and experimental design and data interpretation. Students will improve their academic writing, develop arguments, and expand their vocabulary. The course includes a mix of lectures, seminars, group work, and independent study, taught by University of St Andrews staff, and offers the opportunity to practice medical communication with qualified GPs and simulated patients. Students will also complete a poster-project on a medical topic and visit the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.
