Course Details

This course focuses on improvisational theater techniques for spontaneity, cooperation, team building, and rapid problem-solving, emphasizing common sense, attention to reality, and partner support. It is based on Keith Johnstone's TheatreSports and includes readings, papers, and attendance at improv performances. Enrollment is limited to 20 students on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to TAPS majors/minors and those previously unable to enroll. Waitlisted students should attend the first class to claim a spot.

Accommodation

1.Stay in a classic undergraduate residence hall.

2.Residences will have a lounge, common area, laundry facility, and computer cluster with printer.

3.You will most likely have a roommate and you may be placed on co-ed floors.

4.Eat meals with fellow students in a nearby dining commons.

5.Dining options support students with food allergies, religious requirements, medical needs, and vegan/vegetarian diets.
