The Psychology course offered by Oxford Summer Courses, for students aged 13-15 years, delves into the power of thoughts and their influence on our lives, decisions, and actions. Participants explore various aspects of psychology, including memory, social behaviour, and brain function. The course opens minds to the workings of the human brain, behaviours, and the pervasive influence of psychology in daily life. Additionally, students engage in masterclasses focused on life skills such as teamwork and debating, facilitated by course staff. Throughout the program, participants set and reflect on ambitious goals, with support from staff, and engage in sessions to review progress and learning outcomes.
Oxford Summer Courses was established in 2010 by two Oxford University alumni, Harry Hortyn and Robert Phipps. Offering a diverse range of over 40 subjects tailored for ages 9 to 24, their summer courses are hosted at prestigious university colleges and boarding schools in iconic cities including Oxford, Cambridge, London, and more. In 2023 alone, over 2,380 students experienced Oxford Summer Courses.
